UPDATES

The Leadership Class at Hughenden Public School is looking for balls of yarn (any ply, any color) to make colorful pom poms. If you have yarn you'd like to donate please bring it to Kay Campbell at our next meeting or drop it off at the school.

We are about half full for our Annual Bus Trip - Sat. June 13th - $80.00 per member, payable to Czar Quilt Guild, given or sent to Ann M. We are going to the Edmonton Downtown Farmer's Market, the 30th Anniversary of the Edmonton Quilt Guild Show and a surprise venue for supper.........once you've paid your seat is reserved, no refunds on
cancellations.

2008/2009 - Challenges

Paint can Challenge:

For $8.00 you purchase (hopefully you've purchased, as supply is almost diminished)

a paint can which contains instructions, 1/2 m of fabric and three paint swatches. The Challenge requires you to make any item of your choice, any size but you must use at least half of the fabric and 2 of the 3 colors in the swatches. You can add as many fabrics as you like!

A fun, easy but very interesting Challenge - Contact:  Carole C

C.C. will have instructions and fabric requirements available. Pre-cutting is required prior to Jan. 28/09 meeting. I'm told there are umteen ways you can arrange the blocks &/or the colors!!!! This "class" will happen at the Annual Sleep-over - Jan. 28/29/2009

Tea Cozy

The Pincushion Project last year was so fun.....this year we can make any type of tea cozy..already there are those scheming for a display at next year's show!!!
