Czar Quilters
The Guild was formed in April 2001, with 20 ladies joining up immediately and by years end there was a membership of over 30. As of this date we boast a membership of over 65.
The Group meets at the Czar Hall in Czar,*Alberta the second and 4th Wednesday of each month (Sept-June) *Czar is approximately 40kms south of Wainwright on Highway #41
Our membership is $30.00 per year OR there is a $5.00 daily drop in fee. (We do not pro-rate memberships)
The guild has its own onsite library- “Shari’s Corner” and some equipment ie. ironing boards, irons and a cutting board for everyone to use.
We have our own Members Profile Book and History Book
Members and drop-in guests can bring a bag lunch and some guild members generously bring snacks/treats to share potluck style for coffee times. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are provided.
Each member/drop in visitor is responsible for cleaning up their own work space and contributing to the tidying up of the common areas...kitchen, bathroom, foyer. Ect.

The members volunteer to share their knowledge by offering free demos and interesting information centers.
Czar Quilters offers a free biannual newsletter to their members and information of upcoming sales, shows, events, courses, interesting quotes, silly notes and sometimes even “blackmail” pictures are posted on the bulletin board at each meeting.
Oh, and then there are the “meetings!”... You will be amazed and thrilled with how this guild operates...Meetings usually last no more than 15 minutes, that’s when we actually have one... and the word “informal” is the only description befitting to the gathering of this group.
