Czar Quilter's Guild Challenges -  2007/08

As usual our members have come up with some fantastic  ideas for challenges and projects for the upcoming year....

Our traditional rules exist........participation is  not compulsory ..members may choose to participate in any or all of the  challenges and projects and there are no required sizes or designs.........the  sky is the limit!!!!

From Memories to Fabrics

The  idea for this challenge originated by seeing the quilts created with the use of photo transfer.....but the girls like the idea of extending this challenge to include an opportunity for members to put their own memories into  fabric..........by using fabrics they have special memories of (our childern's old clothes, reproduction fabrics that remind us of our Mother's/Grandmother's quilts, etc.) or patterns that we hold a special memory of.....etc. etc. It would be great if at quilt show time members could share their memory by writing  it on their tag ....So Special!!

Think Pink!

Time to make use of ...or start collecting pink  fabrics.........A Time to support and remember those living with Breast Cancer.  Let's see if we can show our support and love by having a section at next year's show..........maybe some will decide to donate their project to a Fund Raiser that supports Breast Cancer Research or facilities and projects  that

aid Breast Cancer patients while in treatment. This is a project from the heart!

Christmas Gift Tags

Guests at our annual show love the Christmas section. We really want members to be encouraged to make projects that are Christmas themed.

What a perfect project...to make quilted or pieced gift tags. Let's make it our goal to have the Christmas tree at next year's show  loaded with gift tags as the ornaments. As a present to each other.....let's  plan to exchange those tags at the Annual Christmas Party(2008).........Jolly  Ho...Ho...Ho!!!

Pincushions

Tooooo cute! A pincushion project. Can't you just  see the display at next year's show. Like a little pincushion boutique! How cool is that? A perfect project for one of those stormy winter days. And what's even better you will have a wonderful little gift on hand for that very special person. Look Out........Boutiques........ Czar Quilters are on a roll!

Our very own Cookbook

Connie has noticed at our Potlucks and in the kitchen at our Showmembers are overheard saying they wish that they had this or that recipe. Connie is offering to make that wish a reality by organizing and assembling a cookbook of all those recipes. She has  offered to have it ready to hand out at our last meeting in June(2008)....So  please e.mail Connie at quiltmom2809@hotmail.com or bring your recipes to our  meetings and leave them in the box provided. Yummmmm!
